Sheffield United
Sheffield United was founded in 1889 by members of the Sheffield United Cricket Club.
Based in Sheffield, the club has adopted the nickname "The Blades" as a reference to the city historically being a major producer of steel. Interestingly, Sheffield United's fierce city rivals - Sheffield Wednesday - had used that nickname up until 1907, when United made it their own.
