Borussia Dortmund
Founded in 1909, the club took the name Borussia from the Borussia brewery located in Steiger Strasse and started playing with blue and white striped shirts and black shorts.
In 1963, Borussia Dortmund were the last German champions before the foundation of the Bundesliga, beating 1. FC Köln 3-1 in the final at Stuttgart. The club won its first UEFA Champions League in 1997 after playing the final at their rival Bayern München's stadium.
